Lesson 8: Map out your moves

by | Renewal Ready Roadmap

Think of the one area of your life where you would like to see the greatest improvement right now.

The area that you want to see the biggest change in.

That one area that, if you could start winning here, would lead to transformation everywhere else in life.

Ok now, look at your schedule from yesterday. If you didn’t write your moves on yesterday, take some time right now to write them out.

How did you start your day? What did you do throughout the day? Where did you go?

Do your activities from yesterday align with making the change you want to see in this one “I wanna change this right now” area of your life?

If not, then you can see why it’s a good idea that you start to look at what we do every day with more intention and focus.

Some people may say “Oh I have heard all of this before.” My question to them would be, “are you consistently producing the results you desire to see in every area of your life”? If not then, why not?

Everything that I have shared so far in the Renewal Ready Roadmap has been super simple to get. Simple to understand. The question is if it’s so simple, why do so many people still battle the same struggles in life over and over again?

It’s because although all this is simple, we have to contend with all the minutes, hours, days, weeks, and years we have invested in becoming who we currently are, believing the way we believe, and doing the things we normally do. Living the same way every day and producing the same result all the time.

We have to contend with the fact that we have trained our mind and body to live by habit and not intention.

Renewal work is all about us consciously taking control of ourselves, listening for and following the guidance of God, and leading our lives to a place of total-life wholeness.

Planning your days is essential to your renewal process because…

Renewal thrives on repetition.

What you do repetitively will consistently produce the life you live. If you are not producing a life that you are excited to wake up to every day with passion and purpose, then it’s time to look at what we are doing to continue to produce the same experiences over and over again.

The Morning Routine

One of the best ways to direct your life every day is to have a powerful morning routine.

When you wake up in the morning and begin to remember who you are, what you have to do today, and the challenges or problems you’re currently experiencing in life; you are reminding yourself of who you’ve been in the past.

You automatically go through the same routine of preparing for your day and if that routine doesn’t involve you expanding your possibilities, strategizing for current goals, charting out new goals, and shifting yourself to renewed states of being; then it will, unfortunately, create more of the same as the past.

And, if you are doing the same things you’ve done that have created your past, then it’s simple to understand that those same activities will create the same future. So your future becomes predictable!
